About Us

We are the followers of the 52nd Dai al-Mutlaq, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS).

We are known all over the world as the Dawoodi Bohras, We profess Islam and adhere to the faith by entering the fold of Dawat-e-Hadiyah, the centuries old mission of Allah, whose Lord is the Fatemi Imam, a direct descendant of Prophet Mohammed al-Mustafa (SAW), During the seclusion of the Imam, the mission is carried on and conducted on his behalf by al-Dai al-Mutlaq as the Imam's vicegerent and representative, AI-Dai al Mutlaq guides and leads his followers to practice their faith in accordance with the principles of Islam and the tenets of Dawat- e- Hadiyah.

The 52nd Dai al-Mutlaq is the pivot around which the Dawoodi Bohra community flourishes, His serenity, inspired leadership and practical guidance have greatly influenced them to be staunch followers, His word is sacred to them who love and venerate him with unquestioning devotion, This has strengthened their bond of loyalty and dedication to Dawat-e- Hadiyah, has ensured the unity of faith amongst them throughout the world, has bound the community together as a single entity and preserved its identity, His Holiness Dr, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS) has led the Dawoodi Bohra community into an era of fresh vibrancy and renewed zeal by devoting his efforts to the preservation of Fatemi heritage, He has ushered in a spiritual reawakening by guiding his followers to adhere closely to Quranic injunctions in their everyday lives.

With the encouragement and blessings of the 51st Dai al-Mutlaq and thereafter the 52nd Dai al-Mutlaq, a few thousand Dawoodi Bohras made their homes in the United States of America over the last five decades, Several of them came here to acquire knowledge for professional and career needs, and some to carry on business and trade, As a tradition, Jamaats evolved in various States of the United States of America knitting them together and thereby enabling them to secure their faith, customs, traditions and culture, To administer, manage and organize the affairs of each of the Jamaats, Anjumans have been incorporated as religious or not-for-profit corporations in various States, These Anjumans function independently as a network under the umbrella of Dawat-e-Hadiyah (America), a Corporation Sole.

The 52nd Dai al-Mutlaq visited the United States of America seven times. He reminded them of the noble teachings of Islan1 that "love for the land of abode is part of faith" and that "religion is not just prayer and fast but also the striving for betterment in this World and the Hereafter".
